Fernbank Museum Venue in Atlanta
On April 9th and again on June 12th, a group of our teenage students had the opportunity to play the piano at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta. Of particular interest were the special exhibitions featuring musical instruments and music found in nature, “Wild Music”, the latter of which is still ongoing. These performance opportunities were possible thanks to one of our parents, Dr. Sofia Sheikh, for planning and organizing this wonderful experience for our young artists. She reported, “Congratulations to all the students for an exceptional performance and being so well mannered at the museum. You made all of us as well as the Fernbank Steinway proud! We have had very appreciative comments from museum management and patrons alike”.
Students Perform at the William Breman Jewish Home
On July 13th, a small group of our students performed for the senior residents at the Breman Home. The residents and staff were delighted to hear the wonderful performances from beginner levels to advanced. The interaction and encouragement went both ways and it was a memorable experience! Thank you Robin Singer and Shauna Horvath for arranging this opportunity!
