Getting ready for Spring Term, 2016!
Hello Students! We hope you had an enjoyable Holiday Season and we wish you all a wonderful New Year. We anticipate a wonderful and exciting year of piano training, new repertoire, improved technique and great performances! We look forward to working with each of you to explore and develop your potential and musical goals. Spring Term lessons begin on Monday, January 18. The teaching schedule will remain the same unless we contact you for time adjustments. Keep track of the lesson weeks on the calendars in your assignment folders and on the website for extra activities.
During this term, we will announce Master Classes for both Book 1 and Intermediate/Advanced students and additional performance opportunities. A few of our parents have expressed interest in organizing student performances at local area retirement homes, the Sheppard Spine Center and other similar venues. You will receive an email about these activities shortly. We will announce the dates and particulars on the website as well. If you can coordinate and volunteer with this endeavor, let the organizers know after you hear from them. Meanwhile, we will work with our students to prepare for their performances throughout the term.
Please refer to the Studio Policy about lesson procedures in order to make the transition between students as efficient as possible. If you are early, please enter at the front entrance and wait quietly in the upper waiting room – try not to disturb the lesson in the main studio. Enter your studio at exactly your lesson time to swap seats with the previous student. It is a good idea to use the restroom moments before you begin your lesson and wash your hands and have a drink of water.
Tuition is due for either the monthly plan or the new term. We prefer that you mail the payment now, however you may bring it with you for the first lesson of the term if necessary.
We welcome our new students! You will receive your Book and CD set and an assignment folder at your first lesson. We are very excited for the opportunity to share our knowledge and skills and look forward hearing you play each week.
